Narrative
Weevils (Family Curculionidae) are a large family with worldwide distribution. Most of the members of this family are small in size and survive by sucking plant juices through their long snouts. Several species are great plant pests. The boll weevil is a real problem for cotton growers in southern United States. There are over 35,000 known species of weevils, with many more awaiting discovery.
