Narrative

South America Whites (Neotropical Pierini) include several white species with black spots. There are several beautifully colored kinds. The Ascia genus is typically white with a dark pattern. The genus Pereute contains a black and red coloration perhaps mimicking some Heliconids. The genera Daptoneura and Hesperocharis also contain some colorful species.
